Its character
A short-dated Australian government bond fund — the safest type of issuer, with relatively short maturities, so its price moves much less than a long-dated bond fund when interest rates change.
What to keep in mind
Government bonds carry very little risk that the borrower won't repay, and these are short-dated, so the price stays fairly steady when interest rates move — far less rate-sensitive than a long-dated bond fund, though not quite as stable as cash.
Income
Income is paid monthly, from the interest on the bonds it holds.
