Its character
An Australian corporate-bond fund that leans toward the higher-yielding end of investment grade. Unlike a floating-rate fund, its price does move when interest rates change, so it carries more rate sensitivity in exchange for more income.
What to keep in mind
Steadier than shares, but its value falls when interest rates rise, and it carries the risk that a company can't repay — more so than government bonds, since it lends to companies. Income is paid monthly.
Income
Income is paid monthly, from the interest on the bonds it holds.
