The basics
- Issuer
- VanEck
- Asset class
- Diversified (multi-asset)
- Number of holdings
- ~19 underlying funds
- Where it invests
- Global — Australian and international shares plus bonds, spread across many countries.
- Income paid
- Half-yearly
- Currency hedged
- No — It's a blend — some of the international holdings inside it are hedged back to Australian dollars and some aren't, so currency movements still affect part of the value.
Its character
An all-in-one fund-of-funds: a single trade buys a diversified, regularly rebalanced spread tilted about 60% toward growth assets (mostly shares) and 40% toward defensive assets (bonds and cash). Its largest single position is VanEck's Australian equal-weight share fund.
What to keep in mind
Spreading across shares, bonds, property and infrastructure softens the ups and downs compared with an all-share fund, but with about 60% in growth assets it still moves with world markets. Launched in 2026, it has very little track record yet.
Income
Income comes from the mix of share dividends and bond interest in its underlying funds.
