Its character
A long-dated Australian government bond fund — the safest type of issuer, but with very long maturities, which makes its price especially sensitive to interest-rate moves.
What to keep in mind
Government bonds carry very little risk that the borrower won't repay, but these are long-dated, so the price swings a lot when interest rates change — it can fall meaningfully when rates rise and rise when they fall.
Income
Income is paid monthly, from the interest on the bonds it holds.
